Can the PSAQ assist employers?

In Queensland's real estate industry, the majority of employers and their sales and property management employees prefer that employment arrangements be very flexible, and commission-based (either in whole or in part).

Employers who would like help in establishing written agreements may contact the PSAQ on 07 3841 6977 and the PSAQ will then provide information about where to obtain agreements or arrange for employers to meet with a field officer from QPIR (www.qpir.com.au).  Field Officers service much of Queensland's eastern seaboard and south-east Queensland.

For employment agreements, the PSAQ, QPIR and REEA (see below) will normally refer employers to REPS Australia (www.repsa.com.au), an online agreement-building service.

The PSAQ also has a number of downloads, which some employers may find useful.

Please Note:

The PSAQ is not able to assist employers in matters to do with:

  • the employment of clerical personnel
  • termination of employment.

Employers who need help with such issues should contact the Real Estate Employers' Association (REEA).  If you're not already a REEA member, you will first need to complete a REEA Membership Application.

Membership

If you're a property management employee or a real estate salesperson, you should be a PSAQ member!
